KATH

Kath's professional path is as rich and varied as the arrangements she designs. Trained through the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and City & Guilds for Floristry, she's worked extensively in gardening and horticulture, taught floristry and brings decades of hands-on experience to the team. From home gardens to wedding arches, the common thread has always been a passion for plants.

With over 30 years of experience in the floral and horticultural world, Kath brings a rare blend of creativity, expertise, and natural intuition to La Beau Fleurs. Her journey into floristry has always been rooted in two loves: nature and creativity.

“I’ve always loved working with flowers and plants—it’s just part of who I am,” she says. “I spend a lot of time walking in the mountains, always gathering bits of wildflowers or greenery and imagining what I could create.”

“I love the variation in what we do here. No two days are ever the same. Whether it’s a beautiful wedding or a meaningful funeral tribute, I’m always up for a creative challenge,” she says with a smile. “One of the most unusual requests? A dog in a basket made out of flowers - don’t ask!”

Kath also weaves willow sculptures, a unique skill that often comes in handy for bespoke designs and out-of-the-box projects. “I like to stay active, and floristry keeps me fulfilled—it’s the perfect balance of creativity, movement, and connection.”

With her deep knowledge, artistic eye, and decades of experience, Kath continues to inspire both the team and our customers every single day.

AMY

With 18 years of experience in floristry and a heart rooted in creativity, Amy brings artistic flair and passion to everything she does at La Beau Fleurs.

Amy’s journey into floristry began with a love of fine art. “I studied art in college but quickly realised university life wasn’t the right fit for me. I still wanted to do something creative, though—something hands-on and expressive.” That desire led her to a local florist shop, where she found her calling. While working, she studied at the prestigious Welsh College of Horticulture and earned a Higher Diploma in Floristry (HDF), laying the foundation for a flourishing career.

“It just comes naturally to me,” Amy says. “Being around flowers every day is a pleasure. I love the creative process, designing bouquets, working on weddings, and thinking outside the box. I feel like I’m my own kind of artist, and floristry is my medium.”

Her eye for colour, texture, and form reflects her background in art, and it shines through in each bespoke arrangement she creates. Whether it's an elegant wedding arch or a single hand-tied bouquet, Amy pours her heart into every design.

“Some days are hard, like any job, but it never feels that bad when you’re surrounded by beauty. My heart is in this work, it’s where I’m meant to be.”

We’re incredibly lucky to have Amy on the team, sharing her talent, passion, and creativity with our customers every single day.

Rachel O

Meet Rachel O, the heart and soul of the La Beau Fleurs retail shop and a true testament that it’s never too late to chase your passion. After more than two decades working in a local primary school, a role she deeply loved, Rachel made a bold career change at the age of 54 to pursue something that had long been close to her heart: floristry.

What began as a hobby blossomed into a new chapter of professional life. Rachel took the leap, earned her qualifications, and stepped into the world of flowers. “There isn’t a single flower I don’t like,” she says, and it shows in everything she does. Her passion for repurposing blooms and finding creative ways to get the most out of every stem reflects her eye for detail.

Rachel joined La Beau Fleurs right at the start of our retail journey. Her background in education has proven invaluable, especially when it comes to managing the shop. Her strong administrative skills help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

More than just a manager, Rachel is a vital part of our shop’s personality. She thrives on connecting with customers, listening to their stories, and making each visit to La Beau Fleurs a personal, welcoming experience. “I love being part of the community,” she says. “The creative side of floristry is so fulfilling, but it's the people and their stories that truly inspire me every day.”

Her energy, warmth, and dedication shine through in everything she does—and we're so lucky to have her leading our shop with such care and passion.

We love our team here at La Beau Fleurs, and with Rachel at the helm of our retail space, it’s easy to see why.

Rachel P

Meet Rachel Peers, the visionary behind La Beau Fleurs and proof that it's never too late to follow your passion. Before floristry, Rachel built a highly successful career as a Senior Director in the financial services sector. But deep down, she always dreamed of working with flowers. The timing never felt quite right, until it finally did.

At the age of 40, Rachel took the leap and retrained as a florist, fully committing to the world she’d always longed to be part of. Ten years later, Rachel is still smiling every day, having created floral designs for over 400 weddings and countless special moments.

Drawing on her experience running multi-million-pound businesses, Rachel now channels that expertise into her own “little piece of heaven.” Her love for nature, colour and texture made the transition into floral design feel like the most natural step. She knew that at this stage in her life and career, building something local, personal, and community focused was the only path she truly wanted to follow.

Her dream wasn’t just about floristry, it was about creating opportunities. Rachel has made it her mission to employ local talent, support small businesses, and give back to the community that surrounds La Beau Fleurs.

Ask Rachel what she loves most about floristry, and she’ll tell you it’s the magic of it all: the fast pace, the creativity, and the fact that no two arrangements are ever the same. “It’s hard graft,” she says, “but with love, care, creativity, passion, commitment, and integrity—it’s my dream job.”

Thanks to Rachel’s vision, leadership, and heart, La Beau Fleurs isn’t just a flower shop, it’s a thriving, creative space rooted in purpose and passion.

HELEN

Meet Helen E, the admin force behind the scenes at La Beau Fleurs, who supports the wedding side of the business with her keen eye for detail and her passion for helping things run smoothly.

Helen’s background in marketing has been a great asset in her role, but she’s also learned many new skills along the way. “I’ve gained so much confidence with new marketing techniques since moving into this role,” she says. “I love how my previous experience blends with the creative side of floristry. Helping Rachel with the weddings, preparing quotes and tracking all the important details allows me to apply my marketing knowledge in fresh, exciting ways.”

“The variety of tasks makes every day different, and I really enjoy the mix of creativity and organisation that comes with working here. I get to work alongside such a lovely bunch of ladies, and that makes everything so enjoyable,” she adds.

Beyond her administrative expertise, Helen has also honed her floral conditioning skills, offering hands-on support at larger weddings as an extra pair of hands. “I love it,” she says. “It’s been so fulfilling to see the floral designs come to life, and I’m always learning something new.”
